The one major point we have stuck by throughout these articles is that silk plants are better because you don’t have to worry about them dying or having the leaves fall off. Silk plants are beautiful even though they do not need to be watered they do need to be cleaned. Silk plants gather dust from the air and if you leave them in a window they may become sun faded.

Sun faded silk plants look all discolored and after a while they started out green they will end up white from direct sunlight. You can have them in a window, make sure that the window does not get direct sunlight. As far as cleaning the silk plants, flowers and trees, you could just dust them or you could extend the life of your plants.

There is a product on the market called AFK or Artificial Flower Kleaner. Just spray on and wipe off, this product will keep your plants and flowers looking new and beautiful. Check your local Wal-Mart or Home Depot for other cleaners that are on the market. Just clean them once a week to keep that green look just like a real plant.
